Con questo gioco di parole in toscano, che indica sia una direzione che un “verso poetico”, il contatore partiva da zero per indicare il numero di visitatori e il numero di visite. Ad oggi, all’inizio del terzo anno di vita, questi sono i numeri registrati:

Altri dati li ometto perché non interessano chi legge, in quanto puramente tecnici.

G R A Z I E !!!

La Poesia, come qualsiasi altra creazione artistica, è qualcosa che abbiamo dentro di noi, allo stato latente. Come una fotografia che è stata scattata, deve essere sviluppata e fissata, in modo tale che rimanga come prova, documentazione, testimonianza. Sono altresì contento di riscuotere commenti entusiasmanti e che i miei versi piacciano. Ho anche partecipato con soddisfazione a dei Premi Letterari. Effettivamente, devo riconoscere che non è poi cosa così semplice dare un senso ai versi soprattutto quando si mettono in Metrica. Ma ci si appassiona facilmente. Ad onore del vero, i miei primi componimenti non seguivano alcun tipo di Metrica. Li ritenevo versi liberi, che in realtà e in buona fede però, erano più anarchici che liberi. La variazione di rotta l’ho avuta dopo avere letto con attenzione e cercato di mettere in pratica, le linee guida che ho trovato in:

“Poesia e Metrica o Arte del Poetare per il Lavoro Ascetico”

di Tommaso Palamidessi.

Questa dispensa è stata fondamentale per farmi apprezzare e cercare di seguire la Metrica o modo di fare i versi poetici, che è la scienza che spiega:

1) a riconoscere e fare i versi;

2) a mettere ordine nei versi e sistemarli in strofe;

3) a ordinare le strofe in componimenti poetici.

Non è tutto qui, c’è ancora dell’altro. Per chi fosse interessato, basta solo leggere il testo e applicare il metodo. In seguito sarà “più facile” anche comporre versi liberi. Affermo questo per esperienza personale. Per ora, dal gennaio 2015, ho composto e catalogato 2230 componimenti in Metrica e versi liberi, pubblicando 21 raccolte, tra poesie e filastrocche, un racconto per ragazzi e uno è di prossima pubblicazione. Di seguito un omaggio in versi liberi alla Toscana, regione della quale sono figlio adottivo dal 31 ottobre 1971, in quanto nato a Milano nel 1961, in una via parallela ad una strada che è diventata famosa grazie ad una celebre canzone:

“in una strada fuori città…gente tranquilla che lavorava…”.

Poetry, like any other form of artistic creation, is something we carry within us, in a latent state.

Like a photograph that has been taken, it must be developed and fixed, so that it remains as evidence, documentation, testimony.
I’m also glad to receive enthusiastic comments and to know that people appreciate my verses.
I have also taken part in literary competitions with satisfaction.
In truth, I must admit that giving meaning to poetic lines — especially when written in meter — is not such a simple task.
But it quickly becomes a passion.

To be honest, my first compositions followed no specific metrical structure.
I considered them free verse, although in reality — and in good faith — they were more anarchic than free.

The change of course came after carefully reading and trying to apply the guidelines found in:
“Poetry and Meter, or the Art of Writing Poetry for Ascetic Work”
by Tommaso Palamidessi.

That booklet was essential in helping me appreciate and try to follow Meter, the method of composing poetic verses, which is the discipline that teaches how to:

1. Recognize and write verses;

2. Arrange verses and structure them into stanzas;

3. Organize stanzas into poetic compositions.

And that’s not all — there’s more.
For those interested, it’s enough to read the text and apply the method.
Later on, even writing free verse becomes “easier.”
I say this from personal experience.

Since January 2015, I have written and catalogued 2,230 poems, both metrical and free verse.
I have published 21 collections, including poems and nursery rhymes, one children’s story, and another one is about to be released.

Below is a tribute in free verse to Tuscany, the region I have been an adopted son of since October 31, 1971, as I was born in Milan in 1961, on a street parallel to another street that became famous thanks to a well-known song:
“on a street outside the city… peaceful people who worked…”

Paesaggi toscani

 

Brulla campagna toscana,

sorprendi sempre

ovunque si vada.

Quel rosso di Siena

di terra bruciata,

quelle forme ondeggianti,

dei colli del Chianti,

l’amata Maremma,

odiata e cara

nel canto descritta

“Maremma amara”;

le grandi distese

fra Pisa e Livorno,

i monti Apuani con l’Appennino,

il verde paesaggio del Casentino,

che vanno a braccetto,

come un cavaliere

con una cortigiana

coi monti di Lucca

e della Garfagnana;

descritta da Goethe, la Val di Chiana.

Aggiungici infine,

la Val di Nievole coi fiori

dai mille profumi e colori,

e poi in mezzo al nulla,

di tanto in tanto,

o vedi un castello

spuntare nei boschi

anche in Mugello,

oppure appare

in mezzo alla terra,

in aperta campagna,

una chiesetta con quattro cipressi.

Piantati negli angoli,

ai cardini dunque,

son quattro guardiani

alti e schietti,

che fanno da cordone,

ma sono perfetti

per starti a vegliare

quali fiamme perenni

come tu fossi protetto

in una magica magione.

Intorno il silenzio,

il nulla davvero

che riempiono invero

un quadro dipinto

o una foto scattata,

che lascia chi osserva

con la bocca spalancata,

perché la freccia 

da quell’architetto scoccata,

ha colto, il bersaglio

nel centro dell’uomo.

Fiorenza regina d’un tempo

di quando era il bulbo

d’un Giglio fiorente,

di Novella Gerusalemme nascente.

Sei sì stupìto e senza parole,

ma guardati intorno:

la Valle dell’Orcia, il Monte d’Amiata,

e l’anima estasiata

che non sente rumore,

ma solo il vibrare

delle corde del cuore.

Tuscan Countryside

 

Barren Tuscan countryside,
you never cease to amaze
no matter where one goes.
That burnt sienna red
of scorched earth,
those undulating forms
of the Chianti hills,
beloved Maremma,
hated and dear,
as sung in the lines
of “Maremma amara”;
the vast plains
between Pisa and Livorno,
the Apuan Alps with the Apennines,
the green landscape of Casentino,
walking hand in hand
like a knight
with a courtesan,
with the mountains of Lucca
and Garfagnana;
Goethe described
the Val di Chiana.
Add at the end
the Val di Nievole with its flowers
of a thousand scents and colors,
and then in the middle of nowhere,
from time to time,
you might see a castle
emerge from the woods
even in Mugello,
or a small church appears
in the open fields,
surrounded by earth,
with four cypress trees.
Planted at the corners,
like hinges of a gate,
they are four guardians,
tall and upright,
forming a protective ring,
yet perfect in their post,
keeping watch over you
like eternal flames,
as if you were protected
in a magical mansion.
All around, silence,
true emptiness
that in truth fills
a painted canvas
or a captured photo,
leaving the viewer
utterly speechless,
for the arrow
shot by that Architect
has struck the target
in the heart of man.
Florence, queen of long ago
when it was the bulb
of a blooming Lily,
of a New Jerusalem in birth.
You are stunned and speechless,
but look around you:
the Orcia Valley, Mount Amiata,
and your soul, enraptured,
hears no sound,
only the vibration
of the strings of the heart.
