Un viaggio infinito

“An Endless Journey – Cosmic Poetry and Reflection on the Meaning of Life”

The blue and pink of dawn coloring the horizon, after a moonlit night on Mount Amiata, inspired the following verses:

An Endless Journey…

We come from far away
and we are going far away.
A journey we travel
from life to life:
we are born, we live, and we die
and each time,
it is never over.
Like the Sun by day,
the Moon and the Stars by night,
our path
is paved with stars and planets,
inlaid with shining lights
and painted with dazzling colors,
warm and radiant.
All so blinding,
dazzling, that it seems
we live in darkness
without realizing
that we are immersed in light
and everything appears black to us.
If, from Earth, we gaze at the Sun,
we see darkness,
but if we were within the star of day,
we would be a ray bringing
light, warmth, and hope
to those who, watching us from Earth,
would still believe
they are living in darkness.
Who knows who we are,
where we come from,
and above all, where we are going.
Yes… who knows…
