L’Avvocata del Cielo – 🇬🇧 The Advocate of Heaven

Wrapped in a mantle,
studded with golden stars
and shining like the Sun,
she protects and defends
the city raised to Her.

There, verbena grows spontaneously,
which from the Piazza del Campo
intoxicates with its scent
all of Siena.

Queen of the City,
for You there shine in Heaven
flames of ardent hearts,
under the aegis
of the black and white Balzana,
to the sound of angelic chiarine.

All the colors of every vessillo
wave in each Contrada
to celebrate
the Lady of Provenzano
and the Assumption, Advocate of Heaven.
