TRANSFORMERS OF ENERGY

A fixed gaze
induces a kind of abstraction.
Thoughts fade away,
focus sharpens toward a goal.
One detaches from this world,
seeking to project oneself into another.

It depends on what — or who — the purpose is,
where the aim is directed,
where the focus is set,
or toward whom
we are tuning ourselves.

Like radio antennas,
transceivers,
we receive, we pick up,
we transform and send back
to the source
the waves we have received.

Yet if we recite:
“Forgive us our debts,
as we forgive
our debtors,”
and then do not do so,
what right do we have
to complain?

In the same way,
by misdirecting that energy
we send back “in return”
into the boundless Universe,
it reflects back upon us,
like a mirror,
upon our lives.

So whom should we blame
for the eternal becoming?
