The Word Fisher

The Word Fisher
Thoughts, Words, and Deeds.
A triptych that finds its resolution through writing.
Thoughts are transmuted into words, which are then put down “in black and white.”
By doing so, one makes a decision—that is to say:
One establishes a truth,
One declares an intention,
One takes a stand.
Verba volant, scripta manent (spoken words fly away, written words remain).
This is one of many examples that show how thoughts can be voiced through words, and shaped into writing.
Poetry is about communicating a message, opening up a dialogue, seeking a response.
It cannot exist for its own sake alone.
That would be like something beautiful—yet soulless.
On the contrary, every verse, every stanza, every poem always strives to convey something.
We could ask the poet—if still alive—for explanations about their work,
and accept a dialogue that opens doors between individuals,
individuals who are often too alone, too isolated,
with no one truly willing to listen to them.
The Word Fisher
A river of words
flowed through my mind.
Words upon words upon words
flooded my thoughts.
Streams of meaningful speech
overflowed
as figures appeared to me—
mythical and symbolic at once.
They conveyed their essence,
they sought dialogue with me,
and I with them.
In the flowing
and the becoming of time,
they remained faithful
to their message,
unchanged
since the beginning.
Only human beings
were still trying
to decipher that language.
And when I opened
the eye of the heart as well,
I beheld—in the majesty of the infinite—
myriads and myriads of Stars
and Constellations,
thus casting my net
into that river of words.
