At the Dawn of an Ordinary Day – Multilingual poem
At the Dawn of an Ordinary Day
The simple warble of an undefined bird at sunrise goes beyond the weather.
It is like the voice of the soul which, unfazed by life’s hardships, continues to sing its praises to the Creator.
And in that song, it shines with the infinite.
At the Dawn of an Ordinary Day
As the sun prepared to rise,
the sky on the horizon grew lighter:
it wasn’t dawn—it was flickering.
Almost suddenly,
from clear and pristine,
a series of clouds and dark masses
obscured the sky
above our heads,
accompanying the rain
falling abundantly
like tears down a face.
But the warbling
of a morning bird
challenged that thunder
and with its upper octave
soared even higher.
It almost seemed
to descend from above
rather than rise from below,
from the trees before my eyes.
Perhaps, with the inimitable
lightness of its voice—
its range, its tone, its melody—
it was trying to announce something
to humanity,
victim of the passing of time?
But while people
were divided between those rejoicing
and those complaining about the whims of the weather,
that little feathered creature
remained on the unwritten score,
and with the melodious voice
of that upper octave,
continued its unique concert
ordered by the creative Mind
with a Single Matrix,
as the sun prepared to rise
at the dawn of an ordinary day.
