About Me

Maurizio De Cicco was born in Milan in 1961. Since 1971, he has lived in Tuscany (Follonica) and, from 1986, in Florence, a city that has profoundly influenced his artistic and cultural sensibility. A writer and poet, De Cicco has built a well-structured and coherent literary production, ranging from civil and symbolic poetry, to narrative works, and children’s rhymes, always with a particular attention to the value and power of words.

His work stands out for an essential yet intense style, able to combine simplicity and depth. His poems are permeated by ethical and spiritual themes, with a constant tension towards human dignity, the search for meaning, and the responsibility of language. At the center of his work is the vision of the word as an instrument of liberation and awareness, capable of opening new horizons to the mind and heart.

One of the most original strands of his path is the reflection on the Holy Shroud, approached not as devotion but as an enigmatic and interrogative trace, inviting meditation and dialogue between faith and science.

At the same time, Maurizio De Cicco pays particular attention to poetry for children, especially through rhymes that go beyond mere entertainment to become real exercises in education on words, rhythm, and memory.

His commitment also extends to multilingualism, with accurate translations of his works into English, French, German, and other languages, conceived not only as adaptations but as poetic extensions that broaden the reach of the original message.

Since 2025, he has signed his narrative works with the pseudonym Archie Anderson, aiming to explore new expressive registers and reach an international audience, without ever betraying his attention to literary quality and the profound meaning of the story.

Maurizio De Cicco is therefore an author capable of combining formal rigor and emotional openness, tradition and innovation, in a creative path that invites the reader to active, conscious, and passionate participation.
