From Words to the Web: The Journey of Poeticando by Archie Anderson
🌿 From Words to the Web: The Journey of Poeticando
by Archie Anderson
I knew nothing.
Not about domains, or plugins, or any of those things that make a website run.
But I knew how to write. And I knew how to listen to the silence between the lines.
On January 17, 2022, I opened this virtual door. No ads. No budget.
Only the desire—ancient and stubborn—to leave a trace that wouldn’t get lost in the noise.
Poeticando was born like this.
Not from strategy, but from necessity.
A gentle necessity: to share words that could be caresses, questions, shelters.
At first, it was just me and a few curious readers.
Then word of mouth took over. Like a seed carried by the wind,
something began to grow.
Today, the homepage has been opened over ten thousand times.
The site as a whole has exceeded ninety thousand visits.
Small numbers in the commercial web world,
but immense for someone who sows verses instead of slogans.
And all of this without spending a single cent.
Only with persistence, patience, and fidelity to a style and an idea.
Poetry can live here too, on the web. It can do so with dignity.
It can be heard even by those scrolling with a thumb on a screen.
This space does not want to sell, convert, or persuade.
It wants to remain. To welcome. To endure.
If I was able to begin this journey, it’s also thanks to a friend
who believed in the value of this voice.
His initial sponsorship made the birth of Poeticando possible.
His logo appears at the bottom of every page—a quiet sign of a generous act.
If you’ve come this far, you are already part of this story.
Thank you.
